MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to assist with the promotion of business with Ethiopia, representatives of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) told BelTA.

Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Denis Meleshkin held a meeting with Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Republic of Belarus Genet Teshome Jirru.

Denis Meleshkin and Genet Teshome Jirru discussed matters concerning the enhancement of Belarus-Ethiopia cooperation. “We place much emphasis on the promotion of business interaction with Ethiopia. Since the Soviet times we have had good recollections about this country and good hopes for a productive dialogue. Serious potential for cooperation is available in such fields as agriculture, food production, the establishment of joint ventures in Ethiopia,” the deputy chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry remarked.

A roadmap designed to guide cooperation is being developed after top-level meetings. Instructions have been given to determine not only cooperation avenues but also the concrete figures that need to be reached starting with bilateral trade and ending with deliveries of Belarusian equipment, machines, and vehicles.

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is ready to do as much as possible in order to facilitate the promotion of business cooperation between the two countries.
