Belarusian Belkommunmash to renew 40% of trolleybus fleet in Russian Novokuibyshevsk

MINSK, 13 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian mechanical engineering company Belkommunmash will make 15 trolleybuses for Novokuibyshevsk, Samara Oblast, Russia, BelTA has learned.

In line with the contract signed on 26 July the Belarusian company will make Model 321 low-floor trolleybuses for the Russian city. It is not the first shipment of Belkommunmash trolleybuses to Samara Oblast. As many as 40 trolleybuses are used in the Russian city of Tolyatti. They were delivered in 2017 and 2018. Samara uses 36 trolleybuses of the same model – Model 321. As for Novokuibyshevsk, the average age of the rolling stock exceeds 20 years. Thus, by November 2019 Belkommunmash will renew 40% of the city's rolling stock.

Model 321 boasts a compact size and ergonomics, maneuverability, and good operational parameters. Its transistor-based traction system allows saving up to 44% of consumed electricity thanks to energy recuperation. It also offers better access for restricted-mobility passengers and wheelchair users. Electric equipment on the roof is located in hermetically sealed compartments to keep away precipitation, which may have an effect on electric safety and reliable operation.

Apart from that, the driver's compartment is fitted with an air conditioner. The trolleybus also boasts a CCTV system and a system to inform passengers.

The trolleybuses will be delivered with assistance of OOO Promagrolizing-Tsentr.
