ZHODINO, 6 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile engineering company BelAZ will invest about Br400 million in production development by 2025, BelTA learned from the company's Director General Piotr Parkhomchik on 6 November as the company commissioned a new painting line.
The executive said: “The money will be channeled into starting the production of hot-stamped ring blanks and a painting complex as part of the main assembly line. These three key facilities will require about $200 million. The work is supposed to be finished within limits of 2025.”
The holding company intends to develop not only the factory in Zhodino but other enterprises as well. They will receive investments to the tune of about Br135 million within the next three years.
Speaking about the newly commissioned line for pretreating and painting parts and components of mining vehicles with the carrying capacity of 90-450 tonnes, Piotr Parkhomchik said he was confident the new equipment will make the company more competitive. Robots will help take care of paintwork now. The modernization of all painting complexes of the factory is supposed to be finished within the next 2-3 years.
