Belarusian Amkodor eager to make agricultural machines in Russia's Leningrad Oblast

MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian company Amkodor intends to make agricultural machines in Leningrad Oblast, Russia, the company's press service told BelTA.

Chairman of the Board of the holding company Amkodor Aleksandr Shakutin visited Leningrad Oblast and met with Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko.

The establishment of an enterprise to make Amkodor agricultural machines in Gatchina District was discussed as well as the opening of a sales and aftersales service center. Once the plans are implemented, the plant will become Amkodor's third enterprise in Russia.

Aleksandr Drozdenko stressed: “Our cooperation with Belarus is always good experience. Amkodor boasts a good competitive ability on the international market and offers a good value for money. In turn, Leningrad Oblast will provide assistance with providing the future enterprise with the necessary infrastructure.”

Founded in 1927, the holding company Amkodor produces 125 models and modifications of vehicles, machines, and equipment. The company employs more than 6,000 people. All its enterprises are integrated into one technological chain. Every constituent enterprise specializes in making specific parts and units for other enterprises of the company. The holding company constantly designs new models and improves existing ones.
