Belarus, Zimbabwe aim to step up cooperation in energy sector

MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) - Belarus and Zimbabwe are considering options to intensify their cooperation in the energy sector, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.

On 27 November, Belarusian Energy Minister Denis Moroz held a meeting with Zimbabwean Minister of Energy and Power Development July Moyo. The parties discussed possible avenues for invigorating Belarusian-Zimbabwean relations in the energy sector. Belarus confirmed its readiness to share experience in implementing energy projects.

The Zimbabwean delegation visited the dispatch center of Belarus’ integrated power system to learn about the principles of managing the operating modes of the energy complex.

During its visit, the delegation is scheduled to tour facilities of the Belarusian energy system, as well as industrial enterprises and engineering design organizations of the country.
