Belarus’ wood product exports to Azerbaijan up 20% in 2023

MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) - Belarus’ woodworking exports to Azerbaijan grew 20% in 2023 in comparison with 2022, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom Gennady Dikovitsky said at the 14th meeting of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Azerbaijani commission on trade and economic cooperation on 6 June, BelTA has learned.

It was noted that Azerbaijan is one of the permanent and most important trade and economic partners for the Belarusian woodworking industry enterprises. The main exports include board products, plywood, doors, wooden windows, furniture, timber, paper, cardboard and products made of them.

“The enterprises of the industry provide a constant growth of supplies to Azerbaijan. In 2023 the exports went up by 20% as compared to the previous year,” the Bellesbumprom deputy chairman said. Supplies of wooden house sets also look promising.
