MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – Belarus has reduced export duties on oil and oil products to zero according to the Council of Ministers’ resolution No.989 of 29 December 2023, BelTA has learned. The resolution has been published by the national legal information registry.
Resolution No.989 will come into force on 1 January 2024. According to the document, Belarus has set rates of export customs duties on oil and oil products, which are exported beyond the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union, to zero.
For instance, the export duty on crude, furnace oil, oil bitumen, petrolatum, paraffin, and waste oils changes from $24.7 per tonne to 0. The export duty on straight-run gasoline changes from $13.5 per tonne to 0. Apart from that, the export duty on commercial gasoline, diesel fuel, light and middle distillates, benzene, toluene, xylene, lubricants drops from $7.4 per tonne to 0.
