Belarus, Russia's Vologda Oblast discuss new cooperation agreement

MOSCOW, 3 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia's Vologda Oblast plan to conclude a new cooperation agreement that will run until 2030, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik told journalists following his meeting with Vologda Oblast Governor Georgy Filimonov in Moscow on 3 March, BelTA has learned.

“Today we have discussed plans to sign a new agreement for 2025-2030. This agreement will include holding days of Vologda Oblast in Minsk in August this year, supplies of vehicles for the next five years, as well as shipments of fire-fighting equipment: 17 units of fire-fighting equipment were already delivered last year and their users in Vologda Oblast gave a very good feedback,” the ambassador said.

Belarus suggested sending its construction specialists to build social facilities in Vologda Oblast (the list of such facilities will be compiled later) and supplying its passenger vehicles, namely buses and trolleybuses for Vologda and Cherepovets, the ambassador specified.

In addition, promising cooperation projects were considered, like joint production of elevators. The Vologda Oblast governor also expressed interest in launching the production of machines of the Belarusian enterprise POZHSNAB in the region.
