MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarus is ready to offer extensive interaction to Russia’ Tula Oblast, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said as he met with Tula Oblast Governor Dmitry Milyaev on 5 November, BelTA has learned.

It is the agro-industrial complex in the first place. “Agricultural products and foodstuffs occupy a weighty position in our mutual trade. Each has its own strengths in agriculture. The capacity of the markets let us complement each other in many positions in order to develop dynamically. Providing the consumer with a wide range of food products amid sanctions pressure plays an important role in solving the problems of social and economic stability. We are ready to increase exports of food products in demand in your region. In order to create conditions for food security we are ready to offer supplies of high-yield fodder and high-quality Belarusian veterinary drugs. Besides, we can equip dairy farms, vegetable, potato and grain storages with Belarusian equipment. I suggest instructing our specialists to work in this area, including the exchange of experience and technologies in breeding, livestock and seed production,” the deputy prime minister told the governor of Tula Oblast.

Secondly, Viktor Karankevich drew attention to the importance of bilateral cooperation in industry. According to him, most Belarusian supplies to Tula Oblast comprise metal products of Belarusian Steel Plant, goods of Atlant plant, elevators and elevator equipment of Mogilevliftmash. Gomselmash grain harvesting machinery, MTZ tractors, Amkodor machinery, engines of Minsk Motor Plant are supplied on a permanent basis.

“Belarusian enterprises are interested in strengthening trade and economic relations and are ready to supply necessary machinery according to the needs of Tula Oblast, as well as to ensure its quality and timely warranty and post-warranty service,” he said. “Belarus is also ready to offer the Russian region its passenger vehicles - buses, trolleybuses, trams, electric buses, manufactured in Belarus or assembled in Russia from Belarusian components. A promising area of our partnership may be the supply of Belarusian emergency and fire-rescue vehicles, and also ambulances.”
