Belarus, Oman outline prospects for business cooperation

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Oman have outlined prospects for business cooperation during an expanded bilateral meeting on interagency and business cooperation between Belarusian Industry Minister Andrei Kuznetsov, Belarusian Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Minister Artur Karpovich, and Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion Qais Al Yousefin Minsk as part of the visit of an official Omani delegation to Belarus, the Belarusian National Center for Marketing told BelTA.

The parties discussed promising avenues of trade and economic interaction with an emphasis on implementing joint projects in mechanical engineering, setting up a regional Belarusian hub in Oman, implementing a bilateral memorandum between antimonopoly agencies, deeper cooperation and investment projects in woodworking, and interbank cooperation.

Director of the National Center for Marketing Nikolai Borisevich noted that the business dialogue intensified after the successful bilateral business forum in Muscat in August 2024. He also confirmed that the center is keen to continue exchanging business missions and implementing joint business events.

The participants of the meeting noted its constructive and practical nature, agreed to facilitate direct contacts between companies, and identified next steps to implement the plans and instructions.

The event was organized by the Belarusian National Center for Marketing in cooperation with the Belarusian Embassy in Egypt (with concurrent accreditation in Oman).
