Belarus offers passenger transport, construction projects to Bashkortostan

MOSCOW, 22 March (BelTA) – A Belarusian delegation led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko has offered passenger transport, municipal machinery, joint construction and road projects to Bashkortostan. The working visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Russian region is underway on 21-23 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy.

“The Belarusian delegation met with acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Raif Abdrakhimov to discuss supplies of Amkodor machinery. Belarusian representatives also expressed interest in participating in the region's construction projects,” the diplomatic mission said.

Cooperation with the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry was discussed at the meeting with President of the Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan” Timur Khakimov. “We plan to develop a roadmap of cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry, which will include the exchange of business missions, business matchmaking sessions, joint participation in seminars, conferences, forums, exhibitions and other events. The parties also discussed the possibility for Bashkortostan to purchase the Belarusian municipal machinery (for a new solid municipal waste collecting system), and also forestry vehicles, city buses, including the ones operating on gas engine fuel,” the press service said.

Representatives of Amkodor and Bashkiravtodor signed a memorandum of understanding at the end of the meeting.

“Vladimir Semashko voiced Belarus' interest in turnkey road and pavement construction projects using advanced cement and concrete road materials at a meeting with Ufa Mayor Ulfat Mustafin. According to the ambassador, Belarus is also ready to help with the implementation of various projects in the construction sector, the supply of passenger transport produced by MAZ and Belkommunmash, and also Stadler Minsk urban railway transport,” representatives of the diplomatic mission said.
