MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - The promising areas for cooperation between Belarus and Mongolia were outlined by the National Center for Marketing and Price Study, BelTA has learned.

Yevgeny Rusak, Deputy Director of the National Center for Marketing and Price Study, speaking at the expert webinar “Belarus - Mongolia: Opportunities and Prospects for Cooperation” organized by the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research and the Institute for Strategic Studies of Mongolia, noted that the potential for Belarusian exports to Mongolia is estimated at $60 million. Promising areas for cooperation include food products and processing technologies, agricultural machinery and potential assembly in Mongolia, woodworking and construction materials, electrical products and pharmaceuticals, as well as joint projects in agriculture, energy, and environmental protection.

“Belarus has a traditional strength in producing high-quality food products. Mongolia, despite its developed livestock sector, faces certain challenges in processing and storing products. Belarusian technologies and finished products can complement the Mongolian market, ensuring stable supplies and expanding the range,” the deputy director emphasized.

It was separately noted that for Mongolia, where the need for modernizing infrastructure and healthcare remains high, Belarusian electrical products and pharmaceuticals open opportunities for long-term cooperation.

The National Center for Marketing and Price Study pointed out that Belarus and Mongolia possess all the necessary elements to turn potential into real projects. Practical steps, from joint machinery assembly to food and pharmaceutical supplies, are capable of elevating bilateral relations to a new level and strengthening the partnership.
