Belarus, Moldova discuss economic, inter-parliamentary cooperation

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Anatoly Buben met with Chairman of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon on 27 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Moldova.

The parties discussed the current state of the Belarusian-Moldovan agenda and emphasized the considerable potential for trade and economic cooperation.

The ambassador noted that Belarus has always been a reliable partner for Moldova in economic interaction and is now ready to develop mutually beneficial projects, provided there is interest from the Moldovan side. The prospects of inter-parliamentary cooperation and contacts between the MPs of the two countries were also discussed.
In addition, the parties focused on cooperation between the Belarusian political party Belaya Rus and the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova. They exchanged views on the current situation in Moldova and Belarus, and in the regions in general.

The meeting resulted in an agreement to maintain active contacts.
