MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Lida-based petrochemical company Lakokraska is ramping up exports to the African continent, Lakokraska Director Andrei Gurchin told BelTA.

The company broke through to the African market in 2024. “We got the opportunity to penetrate the Egyptian market, and we did not miss it. To date, more than 2,500 tonnes of the enterprise's products have already been shipped. The exports are on the up and up,” Andrei Gurchin emphasized.

The enterprise has been a leader in resin supplies for the second year in a row.

Lakokraska is well known in the CIS as a manufacturer of high-quality alkyd resins. Bellak is an umbrella trademark for various varnish brands. The company does not only meet the needs of the domestic market, but is also consistently growing deliveries to Russia. “Our varnishes account for 20% of the Russian market,” the company informed.

The implementation of investment projects, as well as performance of Belneftekhim Concern enterprises in January - June were discussed at a meeting of the concern’s Board in Svetlogorsk that was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik. SvetlogorskKhimvolokno presented an exhibition highlighting development milestones of the concern's enterprises over 30 years. The exposition featured large investment projects and innovative products of the petrochemical complex.
