Belarus, Kyrgyzstan agree on information exchange, joint projects in standardization

MINSK, 5 June (BelTA) - The Belarusian State Institute of Standardization and Certification (BelGISS) and the Center for Standardization and Metrology under the Kyrgyzstan Economy and Commerce Ministry (Kyrgyzstandart) have signed a cooperation agreement in standardization, conformity assessment, and information exchange, the press service of the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus told BelTA.

Bilateral cooperation includes the exchange of information, experience, and best practices in standardization and conformity assessment, digitalization of processes, automated information systems, and software. The parties will coordinate their actions within the interstate standardization system and in their participation in international and regional organizations for standardization and conformity assessment.

Experience exchange in conformity assessment will cover product conformity confirmation, testing, implementation and certification of management systems, and personnel certification. Cooperation is also planned in projects related to quality marks, national quality awards, CIS initiatives, and others.

In addition, the agreement provides for joint meetings, seminars, and specialist training, including internships aimed at studying advanced practices in standardization, conformity assessment, and management systems.
