MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – According to the latest data, Belarusian agrarians in all kinds of agricultural enterprises have gathered in 10.0299 million tonnes of grain, including colza, the Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
Minsk Oblast tops the chart with 2.7471 million tonnes of grain threshed. It is followed by Grodno Oblast with 2.2619 million tonnes, Brest Oblast with 2.0754 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast with 1.1047 million tonnes, Gomel Oblast with 980,700 tonnes, and Vitebsk Oblast with 860,200 tonnes.
The harvesting of other crops continues at a vigorous pace. In particular, 72.8% of the area under sugar beet has been harvested, with 75,700 hectares processed. Nearly 3.6 million tonnes of sugar beet was gathered in, with the country’s average yield at 475 centners per hectare.
The harvesting of grass fodder continues. Over 9.26 million tonnes of forage units (94.4% of the target) has been harvested so far.
