Belarus' government passes work plan for H2 2022

MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – The work plan of the Council of Ministers of Belarus and the Presidium of the Council of Ministers for H2 2022 was approved by the government's Resolution No. 469 as of 18 July 2022. The document was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA informs.

The Council of Ministers will hold a series of meetings to review the results of the social and economic development of Belarus over the nine months this year. It will also discuss draft forecasts of socio-economic development, the main points of the monetary policy and the central budget for 2023.

The Presidium of the Council of Ministers will discuss the efficiency of subsoil use, the implementation of Decree No. 327 “On improving the energy efficiency of multi-apartment residential buildings” as of 4 September 2019 and the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 839 as of 5 December 2019, as well as draft forecasts of socio-economic development, the main points of the monetary policy and the central budget for 2023, and progress in fulfilling the instruction of the head of state to double the pace of land reclamation works.

In addition, the government is to review proposals to update the Presidential Directive No. 3 “On priority tasks to strengthen the economic security of the state” as of 14 June 2007. At the off-site meeting in Pinsk the Presidium of the Council of Ministers is to analyze the effectiveness of the measures to accelerate the socio-economic development of 11 towns with a population of 80,000 or more as well as objectives for the near term.

Other topics on the agenda include the state of affairs in the forestry complex, import substitution and its efficiency, the development strategy for the petrochemical complex in the period until 2030.
