Belarus’ gold and forex reserves hit new record high of $13.9bn

MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) – According to preliminary figures published on the website of the National Bank, Belarus’ gold and foreign exchange reserves stood at a total equivalent of $13.9 billion as of 1 December 2025, BelTA has learned.

In November 2025, gold and foreign exchange reserves increased by $177.2 million (1.3%).

Foreign currency assets and monetary gold constitute the largest portion of Belarus’ international reserve assets. According to National Bank data, the foreign currency reserve volume as of 1 December stood at $5.2438 billion, marking a decrease of $125.9 million from November. Conversely, the monetary gold reserve volume was $7.2574 billion, reflecting an increase of $314.8 million.

In line with monetary policy targets, Belarus’ international reserve assets are projected to total at least $7.1 billion by the end of 2025.
