MINSK, 31 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov emphasized the need for more effective export support measures during a meeting between the Belarusian president and heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices in Minsk on 31 July, BelTA learned.
“Industries, businesses, and exporters persistently demand that the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs implement new export financing mechanisms. Yet, many are not even utilizing existing tools to promote exports to far-abroad markets,” he said.

Maksim Ryzhenkov outlined new government approaches to improving export credit mechanisms, including higher subsidies for complex goods (tractors, harvesters, machine tools), increased support for more distant target markets.
“Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is proposing amendments to the existing Export Promotion decree. The changes would expand reimbursement for participation in international trade exhibitions across various countries,” Maksim Ryzhenkov said.
