MOSCOW, 11 April (BelTA) - Belarus' Consul General in Saint Petersburg Nikolai Rogozhnik visited Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia on 9-10 April, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA.
During a meeting with Arkhangelsk Oblast Governor Alexander Tsybulsky, the parties discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation and preparations for the governor’s visit to Belarus.
“At a meeting with Agro-Industrial Complex and Trade Minister of Arkhangelsk Oblast Irina Bazhanova, the parties discussed matters of the export of Belarusian food products, cooperation in potato seed production and the supply of van shops for the region’s consumer cooperative societies. Nikolai Rogozhnik also met with acting Transport Minister of the region Yuri Popov to develop additional solutions for servicing Belarusian passenger vehicles and supplying Belarus-made motorcycles and bicycles. Then, together with Arkhangelsk Oblast’s Economic Development and Industry Minister Evgenia Shelyuk, the parties reviewed the results of trade and economic cooperation in 2024 and discussed potential areas to implement investment projects in Arkhangelsk,” the press service noted.
Nikolai Rogozhnik also took part in the fifth meeting of the working group on cooperation between Arkhangelsk Oblast and Belarus. The meeting was held in Arkhangelsk under the leadership of Chairman of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom Aleksandr Pshenny and Deputy Chairman of the Arkhangelsk Oblast Government Igor Muraev. “The Russian side expressed interest in Belarusian firefighting equipment and agreed to continue cooperation in the supply of elevator equipment. The Russian partners are also interested in engaging Belarusian builders for major repairs of the housing stock of the region,” the press service stressed.
The Belarusian diplomat reviewed the range of Belarusian products available in Arkhangelsk’s retail chains.
The Belarusian delegation also toured Avtomatika-Vektor enterprise and pulp and paper companies of Arkhangelsk Oblast.
