MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – The Business Promotion Council will help handle the matters related to land allocation for business purposes. The issues surrounding land allocation were discussed in the Business Promotion Council office on 15 January, BelTA has learned.
Taking part in the discussion were Chairman of the Business Promotion Council Alexander Turchin, Deputy Chairman of the State Property Committee Vyacheslav Abramov, heads of the country's leading business unions.
The participants of the discussion expressed a view that the existing procedure of allocating land plots has a significant deterrent effect on investments, as it discourages the business community from implementing long-term investment projects. Therefore, the participants of the meeting believe that these rules should be seriously revised.
A decision was made to set up a special working group to analyze the situation and put forward proposals on improving land regulations.
