MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) - Belarusian producers will be given access to financial support instruments in Russia, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi said during a meeting of the High-Level Group of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, BelTA has learned.
"Despite all the geopolitical difficulties, in the light of the illegal sanctions, we are not slowing down and are making every possible effort to maintain the emerging positive trends in our bilateral relations. A prime example is the decree on a unified industrial policy that will be enacted in the near future. We have an agreement on the mutual recognition of technological operations. We are completing devising a legal framework for a unified industrial policy. In fact, we will equalize the status of industrial products of Belarus with local products in Russia and vice versa. We will provide our producers with access to all state programs of the two countries and all financial support instruments. Separately, we have agreed on approaches to cooperation in critical industries, such as microelectronics and machine tool building. There are separate intergovernmental agreements and roadmaps, which are also being successfully implemented," Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi said.
He also noted the actual launch of 24 import-substituting investment projects in the manufacturing sector. The plans include the production of innovative goods, ensuring the import independence of the Union State. "If these projects are successful, the credit line in the amount of RUB105 billion will be increased," the ambassador added.
