ALGIERS, 2 December (BelTA) – Representatives of Belarusian industrial enterprises are in Algiers discussing machinery supplies and establishment of joint ventures. Among them is Vladimir Daineko, Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs at Bobruiskagromash, BelTA has learned.

“For Bobruiskagromash, the African continent as a whole has recently looked very promising. We have already supplied and continue to supply our products to 17 countries on the continent. As for Algeria, this is the second visit of our representatives; the first was quite recent. But we have already managed to achieve some results,” Vladimir Daineko told journalists on the sidelines of a business forum in Algiers.

According to him, efforts in Algeria are proceeding along two tracks. The first is the classic supply of finished machinery. The second is the development of joint production.
“The preliminary list of equipment has already been determined; we just need to finalize a few details. Local assembly offers clear advantages, such as subsidies and significant savings on logistics. So, we are hopeful,” the company representative said. “Regarding the product range, it is forage harvesting equipment, as agriculture here is developing rapidly, livestock numbers are increasing, which naturally requires building a substantial forage base. That is our focus.”

Vladimir Daineko clarified that, given the agreed range, organizing the assembly process would take no more than two to three months. “This involves settling the level of localization and determining the necessary technological equipment to produce complete machinery from kits. Naturally, at the initial stage, coordination of the work and supervision of the assembly by our specialists will be required. I am confident this can be realized in 2026. It should work out,” he remarked.
