Igor Boki takes bronze in Rio

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – Igor Boki of Belarus added bronze to the two gold medals he has already won at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian clocked 1:06.71 seconds to finish third in the S13 men's 100m breaststroke. Oleksii Fedyna of Ukraine and Firdavsbek Musabekov of Uzbekistan both touched in 1:04.94 to take gold.

Earlier, Igor Boki won two gold medals in the S13 butterfly and in S13 200m medley

Now the swimmer has nine medals of the Paralympic Games. In 2012 Igor Boki claimed five gold and one bronze medals in London.

Belarus' Lyudmila Volchek placed 5th in the canoeing competitions. Anastasia Zudilova was 7th in the women's 100m breaststroke.

Belarus goes 24th in the 2016 Paralympic medal table with four medals. China tops the chart with 92 medals, including 39 gold medals.

The Paralympic Games in Rio will be running through 18 September.
