Pertsov: Belarus, China aim for mutually beneficial partnerships

MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) - Belarus and China are aimed at developing mutually beneficial friendly relations, Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Vladimir Pertsov said as he met with Chen Zhou, Deputy Head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, on 20 April, BelTA has learned.

“Your visit demonstrates that there are good, mutually beneficial friendly relations between our states, between the Belarus President Administration and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. This defines our all-weather, comprehensive, strategic partnership,” Vladimir Pertsov said.

In his words, the Belarusian-Chinese relations are developing in all the areas of interstate interaction, including economy and politics, as well as social and humanitarian cooperation.

Close relations are also built between the so-called think tanks. “These are idea generators. These are those who embody, probably, the elites of our states, generating and forecasting the future development of our civilization, the common path in general and the paths of our countries separately,” the deputy head of the Belarus President Administration said.

The meeting took place at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research (BISR). BISR Director Oleg Makarov informed the members of the Chinese delegation about the institute's activities, noting that the BISR maintains close relations with similar think tanks under the Communist Party of China and the State Council of the People's Republic of China.

According to Oleg Makarov, there are two strategic steps which need to be made. The first one is to establish interaction within the regional cooperation and the second one is to transfer cooperation from the exchange of information to solving state-important tasks.
