MOSCOW, 22 June (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei had a telephone conversation with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov to discuss the Belarusian-Russian relations and cooperation in the OSCE on 21 June, BelTA learned from the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties discussed a number of issues related to bilateral relations and key issues of cooperation in the OSCE, including the preparations for an informal ministerial meeting in Mauerbach, Austria, the OSCE PA session in Minsk and progress in the competition to replace top leadership posts in the Organization,” the ministry said.
According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the telephone conversation was held at Belarus' initiative.
