CSTO Permanent Council approves draft decision on Secretary General

MOSCOW, 24 January (BelTA) – The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Permanent Council approved the draft decision on the CSTO Secretary General, CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA. The CSTO Permanent Council held a meeting under the chairmanship of Belarus in Moscow on 24 January.

“The members of the CSTO Permanent Council approved the draft decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council “Concerning the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”,” Vladimir Zainetdinov noted. “It was decided to send the draft documents to the CSTO member states for further approval by the members of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council.”

The CSTO Permanent Council finalized a draft plan to implement the decisions made at the October 2016 CSTO Collective Security Council session. The council decided to send the draft plan to the CSTO member states for coordination. Following the consideration of the draft decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council “Concerning the emblem and the flag of the Collective Security Treaty Organization” it was decided to submit it for consideration of the CSTO statutory bodies.
