MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) - Belarus’ world number 160 Iryna Shymanovich has reached the WTA 125K Valencia quarterfinal, seeing off Russia’s world number 188 Alina Charaeva, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6), in the second round, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian defeated Latvia’s World No.125 Darja Semenistaja, 6-3, 6-3, in the opener. Iryna Shymanovich will next face World No.161 Gao Xinyu of China.
The event in Valencia will be over on 15 June.
