Olympics 2026: Belarus’ Karaliova 45th in 10m Interval Start Free

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) - Belarusian skier Hanna Karaliova has completed her events at the 25th Winter Olympic Games in Italy, BelTA has learned.

The third event featuring the Belarusian athlete was the Women’s 10km Interval Start Free. Karaliova clocked 25:59.3, finishing 45th out of 111 competitors. She finished three minutes and ten seconds behind the winner, Frida Karlsson of Sweden. Another Swede, Ebba Andersson, claimed silver, while the overall World Cup leader Jessie Diggins of the USA, who competed with a fractured rib from a previous race, took bronze. Earlier, Karaliova placed 34th in the skiathlon and 48th in the sprint classic.

The women’s 5000m speed skating event will take place on 12 February, with Marina Zueva competing for medals. The first race starts at 18:00. Belarusians Viktoriia Safonova (figure skating), Maria Shkanova (alpine skiing), and Hanna Huskova, Anna Derugo and Anastasiya Andryianava (aerials) are set to compete in the coming days. The 25th Winter Olympic Games will be over on 22 February.
