MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes have won nine bronze medals at the EUBC Youth & U23 European Boxing Championships in Yerevan, Armenia, BelTA has learned.
Bronze medals in their respective weight categories were secured by our athletes Angelina Gizovskaya (48 kg), Krystsina Bantsevich (50 kg), Yana Prykhodzka (52 kg), Anastasiya Smolkina (54 kg), Darya Kramenskaya (60 kg), Zakhar Vialenka (54 kg), Dzmitry Sarokin (71 kg), Kiryl Harbatsenka (80 kg), and Andrei Rumiantsau (86 kg).
Furthermore, Maksim Sadouski (57 kg), Maksim Rybak (67 kg), Ivan Siniak (75 kg), and Stanislav Zhilianin (92 kg) have advanced to the finals of the continental forum. The gold medal bouts featuring the Belarusian athletes will take place on 9 November.
Meanwhile at the European U23 Boxing Championships also taking place in Yerevan, four female athletes from our team have earned bronze medals. The men’s semifinals are set for 8 November, while the finals are scheduled for Monday, 10 November.
