IOC recognizes results of Belarus’ NOC General Assembly elections 

MINSK, 3 February (BelTA) - The International Olympic Committee recognized the results of Belarus’ NOC General Assembly elections, BelTA learned from the NOC press service.

After a meeting the IOC Executive Board made the following decision: To fully recognize the results of  Belarus’ NOC General Assembly elections held on 15 January 2025; and To provide the NOC of Belarus with access to all Olympic Solidarity programs.

At Belarus’ NOC General Assembly elections Viktor Lukashenko was re-elected as president of the organization, Dzmitry Dauhalionak was re-elected as vice president.

The new Executive Board includes representatives of the sports community from summer and winter sports, both individual and team sports, and members of the Athletes' Commission. Among the eleven elected members are three Olympic champions and two Olympic prizewinners.

In general, there is a positive dynamics of interaction and normalization of relations between the NOC of Belarus and the IOC.

The NOC of Belarus will continue to work with the IOC and international federations on the issue of the earliest possible return of Belarusian athletes to international competitions.
