Domracheva wraps up season with Mass Start victory in Tyumen

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Darya Domracheva of Belarus came from fifth position, 13.8 seconds back after the final standing stage to capture the season-ending women's 12.5K Mass Start in Tyumen on 25 March, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian with a single penalty finished in 35:27.4, 1.8 seconds ahead of Paulina Fialkova of Slovakia, also with one penalty, garnering her first-ever podium. Anais Chevalier of France who led after each shooting stage finished third, shooting clean, but 6.6 seconds back.

Nadezhda Skardino of Belarus finished 16th, with one penalty, 48.5 seconds back. Irina Krivko missed two shots to come in 24th, 1:31.9 back.

Two days ago, Darya Domracheva won the Women's Sprint in Russia.

Kaisa Makarainen of Finland claimed the World Cup Total Score title with the total of 822 points and the big Crystal Globe. She finished the Tyumen Mass Start sixth, with three penalties, 17.4 seconds back.

Anastasiya Kuzmina of Slovakia came second in the World Cup Total Score with 819 points. Third was four-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva with 804 points.

Martin Fourcade of France won the Men's World Cup Total Score with 1116 points.
