MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – BSC Minsk lost to Switzerland’s BSC-54 in the final of the 2026 Euro Winners Cup in Nazaré, Portugal, BelTA has learned.
At the end of the first period and at the start of the second third, the Swiss team scored three times in a row. Then Mikita Chaikouski, Gavriil Gavrilov, and Ihar Bryshtsel restored parity 3-3. After that, the goal exchange continued: in response to Gavrilov’s second goal, the opponents delivered three accurate strikes, and before the final period, the Belarusians were trailing 4-6. This result remained unchanged until the end of the match.
In the semifinal on 13 June, Belarus’ champion defeated Italy’s Lenergy Pisa BS in a penalty shootout 4-3 (regular time ended 1-1). In the quarterfinals, Minsk came over Italy’s BS Viareggio 4-1. In the round of 16, BSC Minsk edged past Hungary’s Bonyhad 5-4 in overtime, BS Viareggio narrowly defeated Spain’s Cadiz 4-3. BSC Minsk topped Group H in the preliminary stage after defeating Germany’s Beach Royals (4-3), Finland’s BSC Hobby (14-3) and France’s Montpellier (7-1).
The Italian club Lenergy Pisa BS secured the bronze medal in the Euro Winners Cup by defeating Israel’s Falfala Kfar Qassem 9-6
In the previous season, the then-champion of Belarus TsOR Mogilev won the bronze medal of the Euro Winners Cup defeating Spain’s Marbella in a post-match penalty shootout for third place. Italy’s Catania BS defeated Falfala Kafr Qassem (Israel) in the final 6-1 to win the champion title.
