MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian national beach soccer team will kick off the new Euro League season in late May in Spain, BelTA has learned.
In the qualifying round of Division A, Belarus will play in Group B alongside the Czech Republic, Portugal and Türkiye. Group A will feature the national teams of Poland, Lithuania, Spain and Switzerland. These tournaments will take place on 20-24 May in the Spanish city of El Puerto de Santa María.
Competitions in the other groups are scheduled for 29 July – 2 August in Chisinau: Group C includes Moldova, Italy, France, Romania; Group D – Ukraine, Estonia, Denmark, Germany.
Following the conclusion of the qualifying tournament, eight participants of the Superfinal will be determined. The Superfinal is set to take place in Viareggio, Italy on 8-13 September.
Last season, Italy claimed the Euro Beach Soccer League title after defeating Spain in the decisive match. Belarus secured a bronze medal for the third consecutive time. In 2021, the Belarusian national team won silver at the main continental beach soccer tournament.
