MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) – The composition of the delegation for the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Italy was approved at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Belarus’ National Olympic Committee (NOC), the NOC press service told BelTA.

At the main event of the four-year cycle, five Belarusian female athletes will compete in five disciplines. These are Hanna Huskova (freestyle skiing - aerials), Maryna Zuyeva (speed skating), Viktoriia Safonova (figure skating), Hanna Karaliova (cross-country skiing), and Maria Shkanova (alpine skiing). While Hanna Machakhina originally secured the Olympic quota for Belarus in cross-country skiing, it is not tied to a specific athlete. Based on the coaching staff’s decision, the place on the team went to the national squad’s leader, Hanna Karaliova.

The composition of the Belarusian delegation may be expanded through the reallocation of quotas in freestyle skiing aerials. The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, on 6-22 February.
