MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Belarusian tennis player Aliona Falei has opened her campaign with a victory at the W75 Porto 2026 Tennis Tournament in Portugal, BelTA has learned.
In the Round of 32 on 25 February, Aliona Falei defeated Italian Camilla Rosatello 6-1, 6-2. On 26 February, her opponent in the match for a quarterfinal spot will be Eva Guerrero Alvarez of Spain.
Also on 25 February, in the first round of the W15 Sharm ElSheikh 2026 Tennis Tournament in Egypt, Belarusian Yuliya Hatouka secured a confident victory over Germany’s Johanna Silva 6-3, 6-2. In the Round of 16, the Belarusian tennis player will face Italian Verena Meliss.
In the Round of 16 at the Megasaray Hotels Open 2026 tournament in Türkiye, Belarusian Iryna Shymanovich and Russian tennis player Maria Kozyreva defeated the Slovenian duo Nika Radišič and Dalila Jakupović 6-3, 6-1. On 25 February, in the second round of the singles draw, Shymanovich will meet Despina Papamichail of Greece.
In the second round of the Maha Open ATP Challenger 75 in the Indian city of Pune, Belarusian Ilya Ivashka lost the first set to Indian Manas Dhamne 3-6 and was unable to continue the match, retiring from the competition. In his opening match, Ivashka had defeated Argentine Federico Agustin Gomez 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (9-7).
