Belarus draw with Luxemburg in UEFA Nations League

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Belarus have secured their third draw in the UEFA Nations League, BelTA has learned.

Belarus drew with Luxemburg 1-1 in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary on 15 October. The teams went goalless in the first half. On the 10th minute Valeri Gromyko’s penalty was saved by the goalkeeper. Sergei Politevich opened the scoring 55 minutes into the match. Gerson Rodrigues levelled off with a penalty goal on the 78th minute.

In the first match Belarus edged Luxemburg 1-0. Valeri Gromyko scored the winning goal then. In the following two matches Belarus drew 0-0 with Bulgaria and Northern Ireland.

The Group C3 standings are as follows: Northern Ireland – 7 points, Belarus – 6, Bulgaria – 5, and Luxemburg – 2.

Belarus will play Northern Ireland on 15 November and Bulgaria on 18 November.
