MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ Dzmitry Yankin and Daniil Kudlasevich won gold at the 2026 European Rowing Under 19 Championships in Germany, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian athletes became the best in U19 Men's Pair. Following the preliminary heats on 23 May, the Belarusians posted the second-best time among 11 pairs, and in Sunday’s final they finished first, beating the Romanian duo by 0.71 seconds. Greece rounded out the top three.
In U19 Women's Pair, Belarusian Maryia Shoda and Yeva Aparkina finished in sixth place, while the Italians took gold. Finishing sixth in U19 Men's Four was the Belarusian quartet of Yan Neumiarzhytski, Dzmitry Shypneuski, Ivan Kolasau and Uladzislau Hulevich; the Germany celebrated victory in that event.
