Tajikistan to explore production capabilities of Belarus’ defense sector

MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) Belarus and Tajikistan are expanding their military-technical cooperation. The working visit of Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry of Belarus Dmitry Pantus to Tajikistan marked an important step in strengthening bilateral ties in this area, BelTA learned from the State Authority for Military Industry.

On the last day of the visit, Dmitry Pantus met with First Deputy Chairman, Commander of Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan Murodali Rajabzoda. The parties discussed promising military-technical projects aimed at enhancing the combat capabilities of the Border Troops, mechanisms for their implementation, and measures to strengthen specific sections of the Tajikistan border within the framework of CSTO initiatives.

The parties agreed that Tajikistan’s specialists will visit Belarus to explore the production capabilities of defense sector enterprises.

The meetings with key representatives of Tajikistan’s government and security structures provided an opportunity to review the current state of cooperation, outline promising development areas, including the establishment of joint ventures, and implement specific projects aimed at boosting defense capabilities and strengthening border security in the friendly state of Tajikistan.
