Real household income in Belarus up by 9.6% in January-May

MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) - In January-May 2024 the real household disposable income of Belarusians rose by 9.6% over the same period a year prior, the National Statistics Committee of Belarus told BelTA.

Salaries accounted for 64.6% of the total money income, transfers to the population (pensions, welfare benefits, scholarships, and other kinds) – 22.4%, revenues from doing business and other gainful activities – 7.9%, property income and other kinds of revenue – 5.1%.

The real disposable money income of individuals is calculated as monetary income minus taxes, duties, and fees adjusted bearing in mind the index of consumer prices for goods and services.
