MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) - The State Authority for Military Industry is our main partner in the development, design, production, and delivering modern samples of weaponry and hardware to the Armed Forces, Deputy Minister of Defense for Armaments - Head of Armaments of the Armed Forces Andrei Fedin told reporters ahead of the organization’s board meeting in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
“Traditionally, enterprises affiliated with the State Authority for Military Industry possess strong competencies and a good reputation across the post-Soviet space and beyond in the field of automated control systems, communication systems, radar, electronic warfare, and mobility assets for various purposes,” Andrei Fedin said.


He also pointed out that the competencies of the enterprises affiliated with the State Authority for Military Industry are continuously expanding. “Just in recent years, they have made significant strides in the development of unmanned aerial systems for various purposes, ground-based robotic complexes, and the modernization of medium-range air defense missile systems. Additionally, work is underway on upgrading systems with strong mobilization potential, including anti-tank missile systems and other products that are currently of substantial importance for ensuring our state's defense capability,” he noted.



Andrei Fedin further added that, in accordance with current policy documents on delivering new samples of weaponry to the Armed Forces, priority is given to command and control systems, reconnaissance assets, electronic warfare, and counter-battery warfare capabilities. “Moreover, maintaining the operational readiness of the existing arsenal of weapons remains equally important,” he added.
