Politician explains why Lithuanian authorities act against their people’s interests

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - Former Lithuanian presidential candidate Eduardas Vaitkus told a press conference at BelTA’s press center why Lithuanian authorities act to the detriment of their own people, BelTA has learned.

According to the former presidential candidate, Lithuanian politicians are primarily interested in money, while the moral component does not bother them at all. The Lithuanian authorities are not ashamed not only before their people, but also before themselves. They are acting in the interests of the European Union or globalists. In such conditions there can be no talk about the interests of ordinary Lithuanians.

“The moral component is fading into the background. They can live with it, but I do not understand how one can live like this,” Eduardas Vaitkus emphasized.

The politician said that he hopes that the situation can change for the better. This can be achieved by creating a new political force through elections, the former presidential candidate believes.

“Lithuania is not for sale. Lithuania is independent and free. We should be neutral. We have no need to be at war with anybody. We need to cooperate with our neighbors, restore justice and equality. If these thoughts are in demand, I will voice them to the people,” Eduardas Vaitkus said when asked about his plans to run in the next Lithuanian presidential election.
