MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) - Belarusians actively participate in the electoral process, Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko told the media, BelTA has learned.
“We have checked the readiness of all polling stations and received information from every precinct commission. Two days of early voting show that people are very actively participating in the electoral process. The turnout is quite high. It demonstrates that people make informed choices for a peaceful, calm and fair future of our Belarus,” Igor Karpenko said.
He emphasized that all polling stations are operating in a routine mode.
Early voting is held on 21-25 January 2025. Early voting is meant for voters who will not be able to cast their ballot on election day, 26 January. Precinct commissions will be open from 12.00 till 19.00 without break. On 26 January, voting will be held from 8.00 till 20.00.
