MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) - The Our Children campaign, held in Belarus from 15 December 2025 to 14 January 2026, reached more than one million children, Yelena Voitekhovich, a consultant at the Educational and Social Work Department of the Directorate for Ideological Work, Education and Youth Policy of the Education Ministry, told a press conference, BelTA has learned.
Preliminary estimates indicate that approximately 33,000 events were held as part of the campaign. “They involved more than a million children,” Yelena Voitekhovich emphasized.
According to the consultant, a significant amount of funds was raised during the campaign. “Assistance, including material aid, was provided, and equipment and gifts were distributed, with a total value of about Br10 million,” she said.
The Our Children campaign, which has become a tradition in Belarus, aims to draw attention to childhood issues, provide support to the most vulnerable categories of children, and demonstrate the importance of caring for them. “This idea is supported at the highest level of the country’s leadership and is of utmost importance,” Yelena Voitekhovich added.
