Opinion: Interest in Art Parade in Vitebsk will be growing

MINSK, 10 January (BelTA) – Interest in The Art Parade in Vitebsk festival will be growing, singer, composer, winner of competitions and member of the jury of the international festival-competition "The Art Parade in Vitebsk" Ruslan Alekhno told the media before the award ceremony of the festival, BelTA has learned.

The singer noted that each participant has already made history as he took part in the first edition of the festival. "I am sure that the geography of participating countries will increase every year. So will the interest in the festival,” said Ruslan Alekhno. According to him, such a forum is an excellent platform for creative development.

The festival has created a feeling of “buzz” in the wintry Vitebsk like the Slavianski Bazaar does in summer, general director of the Vitebsk Culture Center, the director of the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk Gleb Lapitsky said. Perhaps, next year The Art Parade will last longer. “I hope the project will catch on in the city. You are welcome to criticize it on social networks, to send us recommendations and ideas on way how to improve it,” he added.

The first international festival-competition "Art Parade in Vitebsk" opened in Vitebsk on 8 January. During the two days, festival participants competed in the nominations “Vocal Art” and “Choreography”. The winners of two Grand Prix awards will be announced during a gala concert on 10 January. They will be invited to participate in the projects of the 29th edition the International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar" this year.
