MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) - Full order has been restored on the roads leading to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border crossings to ensure safety and maintain proper sanitary conditions, Dmitry Parfenov, the head of the Benyakoni customs post of the Grodno Oblast Customs, told BelTA.
“In order to ensure safety and maintain proper sanitary conditions, full order has been restored on the access roads to the Belarusian-Lithuanian border crossing points. All Lithuanian trucks stuck on the roadsides near the checkpoints have been moved to specially designated parking areas. In total, there are about 1,300 Lithuanian trucks at these sites. These areas are under 24-hour guard,” said Dmitry Parfenov.
He noted that the majority of the drivers have already departed for their places of residence. All necessary living conditions have been created for those remaining at the sites.
