MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Women play a key role in addressing global problems, Wang Hui, Associate Professor at Shanghai Sipo Polytechnic, said at the final plenary session of the International Forum of Women Scientists in Minsk. The key theme of the forum was “The role of women in advancing science and education,” BelTA has learned.
Wang Hui believes that science is humanity’s common journey in exploring the unknown and seeking the truth. “Its progress has transcended all cultural boundaries and gender differences. In today’s world, problems such as healthcare, climate change, and ethnic issues are becoming increasingly complex and global. Solving these challenges requires the efforts of the entire international community, uniting diverse perspectives and approaches. Therefore, the role of women is crucial. They make a unique contribution, demonstrate perseverance and a thirst for cooperation, and add invaluable dynamic to global progress,” the speaker emphasized.
The expert noted that strengthening collaboration among women scientists not only advances gender equality but is also key to improving overall effectiveness. “When we work together, we overcome barriers and move forward. We do not only illuminate each other’s research paths but also make a significant contribution to a wide range of inclusive projects,” she stated.
The forum, held in honor of the 105th anniversary of Belarusian State University and the Year of the Belarusian Woman, brought together over 100 female researchers from Belarus, Russia, China, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, India, and Iraq.
