MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Not a single EU country can solve migration problems on its own, the editor-in-chief of the Words and Meanings almanac Elena Kondratieva-Salguero (France) said in a recent episode of BelTA’s YouTube project “V Teme” [On Point].
The expert noted that crime has become a part of everyday life in the EU, and also highlighted the desire of certain factions to seize power by unleashing chaos. “In addition to all this, we see the most extreme antisemitism. Many people have recognized the parallels to 1930s Germany. Yet, one element was absent at that time – Islamofascism which is striving for power in Europe and has already gained a partial foothold in the UK and Belgium,” she stated.
In her opinion, the EU has already realized it made a mistake, but no one dares to take serious steps to avoid provoking unrest in the urban areas with large Arab populations. “The solution requires coercive measures, other approaches are ineffective. Peaceful methods will not succeed,” Elena Kondratieva-Salgueroemphasized.
The expert is convinced that neither France nor any other EU country can solve anything on its own regarding migration, both legal and illegal. “When all these countries joined the EU, they were assured that the loss of sovereignty would be only partial. This is like claiming to be ‘a little bit pregnant’ – there is no more apt comparison. In reality, there is no middle ground with sovereignty, you cannot cede it partially. It is impossible,” she said.
