MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) – The weapons that the Iranian army possesses can sober up many, Andrei Bogodel, Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA's YouTube channel.

"Iran has very powerful missile technologies, an adequate missile stock. It is estimated at about 2,000 or 3,000, but no one really knows the exact number, because this information is classified. Even if a third of the launchers have been destroyed, as Israel claims, 150 or 200 are still quite enough to cause very serious damage to aircraft carrier groups,” Andrei Bogodel said.

As it became known, the United States is preparing to deploy three aircraft carrier groups to the region - USS Gerald R. Ford, USS Carl Vinson and USS Nimitz. Despite the fact that these groups, in addition to aircraft carriers, have destroyers and cruisers, they will not be able to hide from a massive hypersonic missile strike.

“This is an objective reality that the United States may face if they try to intervene in this conflict. Iran possesses anti-ship systems, cruise missiles with ranges exceeding 2,500 km ... These are very, very potent weapons that have not yet been fully utilized,” the military expert said.

Andrei Bogodel drew attention to the fact that Iran's use of the Sejil missile ‘has caused a stir’ in the entire world. “Very similar to the action of the Oreshnik. Iran has invested heavily in this technology, and it can bring many people back to their senses. And the main systems have not been used yet,” he remarked.
