MOSCOW, 29 December (BelTA) - The results of the CSTO Joint Staff’s activities in 2025 were summarized and tasks for 2026 were set at the International Military Center in Moscow. The event was attended by CSTO Acting Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov, who will assume the post of CSTO Secretary General on 1 January 2026, BelTA learned from the organization’s press service.
Taalatbek Masadykov praised the joint work of the CSTO Joint Staff and Secretariat this year. He reported that the development of a draft action plan for implementing the decisions of the November (2025) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, based on the priorities of the Russian Federation’s presidency, has now been completed.
“The document is aimed at active work to improve the management system of the CSTO collective forces, build up the capabilities of national contingents, develop joint training, strengthen peacekeeping potential, and a number of other important areas,” Taalatbek Masadykov said.
